AI answering service for contractors · answers the calls you miss

You run the jobsite. We run the AI.

You keep your number. The calls you don't pick up roll to SiteLine — it answers, gets the name, address and job, and texts you the summary while you're still on the ladder. The follow-up text and the review request are already written by the time you get back to the truck. You press send.

From crawlspace to callback, without you touching the phone.

An illustration, not a customer story — we don't have customers yet. This is what the software does, step by step.

1
You're on the job
Customer calls at 2 PM while you're under a house. Normally: voicemail. They call the next contractor in under 30 seconds.
2
SiteLine picks up · bundle
On the $96 bundle it answers instead of the voicemail. It asks who they are, where they are and what is wrong, tells them you will be in touch, and texts you the summary. It does not quote a price or promise them a time — that is still your call to make.
3
You call back knowing everything
You surface, read the text: name, address, what's wrong. You call back already knowing the job. The customer was expecting you — they were told you'd call. You never listened to a voicemail.

What your first week actually looks like.

No IT project. Here is every step, including the ones you have to do yourself.

1
Day 1 — sign up, answer six questions
Your trade, your service area, your hourly rate, your typical job size, your license number, your business name. That is the whole setup. It takes about five minutes on a phone and it is what the AI uses to talk like your shop instead of a call centre.
2
Day 1 — a number lands in your inbox · bundle
On the $96 bundle, SiteLine buys you a dedicated phone number automatically and emails it to you. Your own business number does not change and never will. Steve will walk you through it on a call if you'd rather not do it alone — we are small enough that you get a person.
3
Day 1 — the one thing you have to do
Set your carrier's conditional call forwarding so unanswered and after-hours calls roll to that new number — usually dialling *71* or *61* and the number. Two minutes. Then call your own line, let it ring out, and listen to the AI answer. That test call is how you know it's on.
4
The rest of the week — you mostly forget about it
The calls you answer, you answer. The ones you don't come back as a text: who called, what they need, and the caller has already been told you'll be in touch. Estimates and follow-up texts get drafted when you ask for them. Nothing goes out to a customer that you didn't send.

Watch one missed call become a booked job.

No slideshow. This is the same after-hours customer moving across voice, text, and booking — and everything SiteLine remembers about them.

Everything a solo contractor actually needs.

You stop losing the calls you can't take · bundle
On the $96 bundle, a call you don't pick up gets answered instead of going to voicemail. It asks the name, the address and what's wrong, then texts that to you. You stop checking voicemail and start reading a lead summary.
You stop writing the same follow-up text
Both paid plans come with their own SMS number and a text inbox in the app. Someone who calls it gets a text back without you doing anything. The 3-touch follow-up to a new lead is typed out for you too — you read it, change what you want, send it.
You stop doing estimates at the kitchen table at 9pm
Describe the job into your phone while you're standing in it. The itemized estimate comes back written, priced off your own hourly rate, ready to hand over before you leave the driveway. It's a draft — you check the numbers, you send it.
You stop forgetting to ask for the review
Close the job and the review request is written for you — Google, Yelp or Nextdoor, with the customer's name and the actual work in it. You send it while you still remember them. On Pro you tap send; SiteLine does not message your customers on its own.
You stop playing phone tag over a time slot · bundle
On the $96 bundle, when a customer texts back "Thursday works," that reply books the slot instead of sitting in your messages until Friday. On Pro, leads land on your lead board and you book them yourself.
📶
You stop walking to the street for a bar of signal
Estimates, checklists and leads are stored on the phone itself. A basement, a metal roof, a canyon job — the app still opens and still works.
You stop eating scope creep because it wasn't in writing
The customer adds a thing. You say it into your phone, the change order comes back written and priced, and they see it before you pick the tools back up. No more "I thought that was included."
You stop guessing the material order at the supply house

SiteLine vs. the competition.

Neither of them writes the follow-up for you, and their AI receptionists are priced on top of the plan — Jobber's is a $29/mo add-on and Housecall Pro won't publish theirs. At $29 SiteLine has the follow-up and the estimate already written when you open it. The $96 bundle is the one that picks up the call.

Straight answers, before you put a card in.

The six things everyone asks us. Where the answer is "not yet," we say that.

Do I have to change my phone number?
No, and you never will. On the $96 bundle we buy you a second number. Your business number stays exactly as it is — on your truck, on your cards, on Google.
So does it replace my line?
It sits behind it. You set your carrier's conditional forwarding — usually *71* or *61* and the new number — so only the calls you don't answer roll over. Two minutes, and you can undo it the same way.
What if I do answer?
Then nothing happens. The AI never hears it. Conditional forwarding only fires when your phone rings out, is busy, or is off. Answer your phone and it's an ordinary call.
What happens at 11pm on a Sunday?
Same path. It answers, takes the details, tells them you'll be in touch, and texts you the summary. You read it in the morning and call back a lead who already knows your name — instead of finding a hang-up in your call log.
What if it gets something wrong?
Its job on the call is to take a message, not to close the sale — name, address, what's wrong. You are still the one who quotes and confirms. Estimates, follow-up texts and review asks are drafts: nothing reaches a customer that you didn't read and send. Every call is logged so you can check what was said.
Can I get out of it?
Cancel from your Account page, no phone call, no contract. Both paid plans start on a 14-day free trial, and if you've already been billed we refund the first payment within 30 days. Turn the forwarding off and your line is back to how it was.

One more, because it's the honest gap: on $29 Pro nobody talks to your caller. Pro gives you your own SMS number that texts a caller back automatically, plus estimates, invoices, follow-ups and review asks written for you to send. An actual conversation — where it asks what's wrong and takes the address — only exists on the $96 bundle. We'd rather you knew that now than on day three.

Annual subscription savings vs Housecall Pro Basic: $600/yr

Subscription rates: SiteLine Pro $29/mo. Jobber Core $49/mo and Housecall Pro Basic $79/mo are the month-to-month, single-user rates observed on each vendor’s own pricing page on 2026-07-30 (their advertised $29 and $59 are annual-prepay). Jobber adds $29/mo per extra user; Housecall Pro Basic caps at one user and the second user forces Essentials at $189/mo. SiteLine is one flat price regardless of headcount. Card-fee estimate uses 2.9% standard processor rate; actual fees vary by platform and processor. SiteLine does not process payments — you keep your existing processor.

Questions, answered.

What's the difference between Pro and Pro + Receptionist?

SiteLine Pro ($29/mo) is the contractor toolkit — AI estimates, drafted SMS lead follow-ups and review requests for you to send, change orders, license tracker. Great if you already answer your own phone or have an answering service.

Pro + Receptionist ($96/mo) adds the bizbot bundle on top: a 24/7 AI phone receptionist that picks up live calls, a text back to the caller the moment the call drops, auto-booking from text replies, a web chat widget, a lead inbox — every missed call and web chat, and review requests drafted for you to send. The whole "never miss a call" pitch lives here.

What happens when I'm on a job and can't answer?

With the Pro + Receptionist bundle, SiteLine's Voice module answers the call, collects name, address, and job description, sends you a text summary, and texts the caller that you'll be in touch — so you can respond within the hour and still win the job instead of losing it to whoever called back first.

On Pro alone, calls still go to your voicemail — but SiteLine drafts the follow-up texts for every lead that did reach you, ready to send.

Does it work on my phone or do I need a computer?

Phone-first, always. Works offline at the job site. Estimates, leads, and checklists are cached locally so no signal is needed.

How is SiteLine different from Jobber?

Jobber is job management software. SiteLine Pro ($29/mo) is AI estimates plus drafted lead follow-ups and review requests you send yourself. The Pro + Receptionist bundle ($96/mo) adds a 24/7 AI phone receptionist. Jobber sells one too, at $29/mo on top of your plan — ours is in the $96 price with no add-on and no per-call fee, however big your crew gets. Plenty of shops run SiteLine for lead capture and estimates alongside Jobber for invoicing.

Can I try it without a credit card?

Two ways, yes — and one way, no. The free plan needs no card, ever. The free 2-week pilot needs no card either: you get a real phone number answered by the AI receptionist for two weeks, and nothing to cancel if you walk away. Pro and Pro + Receptionist are different: they start with a 14-day free trial, but Stripe takes your card up front and charges $0 until day 15 — cancel before day 15 and you won't be charged.

What if I already have Jobber or Housecall Pro?

SiteLine works alongside them. It covers lead capture, estimates and the AI phone receptionist, and you keep Jobber or HCP for invoicing and scheduling. Both of them now sell an AI receptionist as well — Jobber at $29/mo on top of the plan, Housecall Pro at a price they don't publish. The difference is the bill: ours is one flat price for the whole business, with no per-user, per-call or per-minute metering.
